The CTIFL is an actor of progress in the service of all fruits and vegetables sector professions, from the seed to the store. By its technical and economical expertise, its research and innovation activities, its training and facilitation actions, it contributes to the performance and competitiveness improvement of companies in the sector.
The CTIFL is experiencing new methods and products. It studies the production development, for the distribution and the consumption.
The CTIFL also disseminates knowledge and know-how: publications, training courses, demonstration day, exhibition, database, etc.
CTIFL technical interventions range from the initial selection of plant material, to the product presentation at the point of sale.
In conjunction with INRA and research organisms, experimentations activities focus on:
- The plant material in order to establish references and select varieties, rootstocks, and seeds the best adapted to production and market needs,
- Cultivation techniques to reduce cost, preserve environment, control products’ sanitary and commercial characteristics to propose cropping systems the most efficient,
- Packaging and preservation techniques to control and maintain the quality all along the production and distribution process,
- Equipment and use condition of materials.
